A24 TRAILER

Synopsis: A stylized parody that pokes at the mundane aesthetic popularized by A24. This trailer leans heavily into atmospheric tension, small-town visuals, and cryptic dialogue to create a sense of anxiety over nothing.
The challenge of this project was to mimic the specific cinematic style of an A24 film. I did this by utilizing a floating handheld camera, shooting wide open on a f1.2 aperture and taking advantage of natural lighting when we found something we liked. In post, I leaned into the A24 look by desaturating the image and reducing the red/blue channels, while protecting the skin tones.
It performed well on social media and was applauded for its accurate portrayal of modern, dogshit A24 film.
